US 77
U.S. Route 77 (US 77) is a north–south United States Highway in eastern Texas and central Oklahoma in American Truck Simulator. The route is separated into seven sections: The first section runs from SH 4 in Brownsville to Interstate 37 in Corpus Christi, partially concurrent with Interstate 69E. The second section runs from US 59 in Victoria to Loop 396 in Waco. The third section runs from Loop 396 in Waco to Hillsboro, mostly concurrent with Interstate 35. The fourth section runs from DeSoto and Lancaster to Interstate 35, Interstate 35W, and FM 1515 in Denton, concurrent with Interstate 35E. The fifth section runs from Denton to US 82 in Gainesville, mostly concurrent with Interstate 35. The sixth section runs entirely within Ardmore, from the southern part of the city to SH-142. The seven section runs from Interstate 35 and US 62 to Interstate 40, Interstate 235, and US 270 within Oklahoma City, mostly concurrent with Interstate 35 and partially concurrent with Interstate 235.
In real life, US 77 spans a total length of 1,305 miles (2,100 km) from the Mexican border in Brownsville, Texas to Sioux City, Iowa, near the state line with Nebraska.
Course
US 77, along with US 83, begins at an intersection with SH 4 in southern Brownsville. The two highways head north, concurrent with Interstate 69E, until the 83 breaks off of the highway to follow Interstate 2 in Harlingen, while US 77 continues to follow I-69E in the Rio Grande Valley for some distance. Leaving the valley, a gap in I-69E's route begins here as the highway traces along the Gulf Coast through the Coastal Sandy Plains in southern Texas. It enters Riviera, where a weigh station is presented, and then rejoins I-69E in Corpus Christi shortly afterwards. The highway intersects Interstate 37 west of the city, where a gap in the route begins here. US 77 resumes in Victoria, where it intersects US 59, US 87, and Loop 463. As it leaves the Gulf Coast region, the highway traverses north towards the Prairies and Lakes region and intersects Interstate 10 in Schulenburg; soon afterwards, the highway begins to trace through a mix of Oak Woods and Blackland Prairies as it heads into La Grange, where it intersects SH 71. The highway enters eastern central Texas and follows a short concurrency with US 190 and SH 36 through Cameron. It then intersects SH 7 before the highway enters Waco; there, a short gap in the route separates US 77 between a roundabout and exit 333 of Interstate 35. From Waco to Hillsboro, the highway runs concurrently with I-35 through Waco, Bellmead, and West. In Hillsboro, another gap in the route begins here. Once again, the highway resumes at exit 467 of Interstate 35E at the separation of DeSoto and Lancaster. It follows I-35E through Dallas until another gap begins at the junction with Interstate 35 and Interstate 35W in Denton. North of Denton, the highway resumes at a truck stop and, for a second time, follows I-35 to the north; soon afterwards, the highway intersects US 82 in Gainesville, where another gap in the route is present.
Small sections of US 77 are scattered withing central Oklahoma: The first section runs within Ardmore, following Commerce Street. It heads north from Broadway Street and runs through the central part of Ardmore. At 15th Avenue, a nearby recruitment agency can be acessed. The first gap of US 77 in Oklahoma begins at SH-142 in the north-central part of the city, between Interstate 35 and a Vortex refinery. The 77 resumes, as its second section through the state, in Oklahoma City, the state capital of Oklahoma, at 15th Street. The highway follows concurrently with I-35 towards downtown and the complex four-way stack interchange serving I-35, Interstate 40, Interstate 235, US 62, and US 270; here, it follows a section of I-235 before terminating due north of I-40, which the latter highway is served via ramps from I-235 and US 77 at the interchange.
