US 181
U.S. Route 181 (US 181) is a north–south intrastate United States Highway in southern Texas in American Truck Simulator. It runs from Interstate 37 and SH 35 in Corpus Christi to SH 35 in Gregory, concurrent with SH 35.
US 181 is one of several rendered US Highways to run within a state in real life, along with US 57, US 96, US 290 and US 350, which excludes such other highways that are considered to run "within" a state in ATS, but the rest of these routes has yet to introduce its other section(s) along its course through several other states that run within in real life.
Also, in real life, US 181 spans a total length of 136.76 miles (220.09 km) from Corpus Christi to San Antonio, Texas.
Course
US 181 begins at an interchange with Interstate 35 at downtown Corpus Christi and begins its concurrency with SH 35. The highway heads north across the Harbor Bridge and passes North Beach in the north end of the city. Just west of the highway, a new cable-stayed bridge is seen under construction, which will replace the old Harbor Bridge and is expected to be completed in 2025 in real life. US 181 then crosses Neuces Bay via the Nueces Bay Causeway into Portland; soon afterwards, the highway reaches its northern terminus in Gregory, where the road continues as SH 35 towards Fulton.
