TX 48
State Highway 48 (SH 48) is an east–west state highway in southern Texas in American Truck Simulator. It runs from Interstate 69E, US 77, and US 83 to a TERA shipyard within Brownsville.
In real life, SH 48 spans a total length of 22.26 miles (35.82 km) from Brownsville to Port Isabel, Texas, near the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.
Course
SH 48 is the main connection between the city of Brownsville and its seaport. The route begins at Interstate 69E, US 77, and US 83 and follows Boca Chica Boulevard to the east. At its junction with SH 4, the highway turns northeastward as it then follows Padre Island Highway into the port area. It passes by the main entrance of the Port of Brownsville, which also has access to a Global Mills grain elevator; soon afterwards, the highway approaches its eastern terminus at a TERA shipyard east of the port.
