State Highway 188 (SH 188) is an east–west state highway in southern Texas in American Truck Simulator. The entire route is located northwest of Corpus Christi, just south of US 59. It connects Interstate 37 with a Mary's Cotton plant (shown as part of Corpus Christi) east of I-37.
In real life, SH 188 spans a total length of 41.327 miles (66.509 km) from south of Mathis to Aransas Pass, Texas.

Trivia
- Since the initial release of the Texas map expansion DLC, guide signs along Interstate 37 mislabel the highway as Farm to Market Road 188 (FM 188) instead of "SH 188". In the game files, this route marker is named tx_188 without the f in the file name, which is normally used for Farm to Market Roads in the game files under tx_fXX. Comparing to that in real life, the highway is not mislabeled on guide signs on I-37. This has yet to be corrected in a future update.
- In real life, FM 188 exists as a short road in Galveston, following Teichman Road from Interstate 45 to 89th Street. A part of this road also exists in ATS, but there is no mention of FM 188 between I-45 and the Sea Horizon marina in the city.
