US 81
U.S. Route 81 (US 81) is a north–south United States Highway in northeastern Texas and western Oklahoma in American Truck Simulator. The route is separated into three sections: The first section runs from Interstate 35W and US 287 in Fort Worth to a rest area on US 287 northwest of Fort Worth, concurrent with US 287. The second section runs from US 70 in Waurika to SH-7 in Duncan. The third section runs entirely within Enid, concurrent with US 60.
In real life, US 81 spans a total length of 1,220 mi (1,960 km) from Fort Worth, Texas to the Canadian border at Pembina, North Dakota, near the state line with Minnesota.
Course
US 81 begins at an interchange with Interstate 35W in the northern part of Fort Worth, as well as following a concurrency with US 287 across the northwestern part of the city. It passes through Avondale, a neighborhood of Fort Worth, and reaches a rest area further northwest of the area, where a gap in the route is presented.
The highway resumes in the town of Waurika, Oklahoma, at its junction with US 70. It continues north into Duncan, where it intersects SH-7 and its second gap is presented. Resuming in Enid, US 81 intersects US 60 (as a concurrency) and US 412 and follows Van Buren Street across the eastern part of Enid. The highway currently terminates at West Willow Road, in the northwestern part of the city, and will eventually continue into Kansas.

History
- In the initial version of the Texas map expansion DLC, US 81 was added as an unsigned route, which began at Interstate 35W and US 287 in Fort Worth and ended at a rest area on US 287 northwest of Fort Worth, concurrent with US 287.
Trivia
- In the original plans for the Oklahoma DLC, the section of US 81 between Waurika and Duncan was not planned to be included as marked in the usa.dds map starting in the update 1.48 Open Beta. Ultimately, the section in that area was added, which is now part of the present-day connection between Lawton (via SH-7) and Ardmore (via US 70) in favor of US 70's omitted section (originally planned to run south of Lawton).
