Iowa is a state of the United States, which is featured in American Truck Simulator as an upcoming map expansion DLC. It will be the sixteenth map of DLC involving map expansions, but the fifteenth paid one. It is likely Simon the map lead.[1]

Summary

The state is bordered by Nebraska to the west, South Dakota to the northwest, Minnesota to the north, Wisconsin to the northeast, Illinois to the east and southeast, and Missouri to the south.

Located in the upper Midwest of the United States, Iowa serves as a bridge between the eastern forests and the western prairie plains. Known as "The Hawkeye State," Iowa beckons truckers to explore its roads, cities, and local industries. The state capital, Des Moines, is a vibrant city not to be missed. As Iowa's largest city, Des Moines is a cultural and economic hub, featuring the impressive Iowa State Capitol building. This landmark, with its five domes and the central one covered in 23-karat gold, is a must-see. But the Capitol isn't the only highlight in Iowa. Drivers can enjoy scenic views, especially in the charming towns and cities along the famous Mississippi River. This river, the second-longest in the United States, spans over 2,000 miles and flows through ten states. While Iowa might not be the biggest state, it's home to many of the world's largest landmarks, perfect for capturing memorable photos. Agriculture is a standout local industry, with Iowa earning the nickname "King of Corn" for more than two decades. In 2023, the state produced over 2.5 billion bushels of corn, much of which ended up on dinner plates across the country. So, as you journey through Iowa, take time to appreciate its landscapes, landmarks, and the thriving agricultural sector.

Set out on an epic journey to Iowa in American Truck Simulator! Get behind the wheel and traverse the I-80 to the state capital, Des Moines, as well as other cities along the Mississippi River. Along the way, you'll pass through picturesque rural towns, and quaint hills intertwined with winding rivers that add to the charm of the Hawkeye State.

Iowa, also known as the Corn State, is the heart of America's agricultural industry, being the largest producer of corn. As a trucker, you'll play a crucial role in transporting this vital produce across the nation. While on the road, you'll also encounter the iconic wind farms that define Iowa's skyline.

The Hawkeye State is a blend of natural beauty, rich agricultural heritage, and vibrant cities steeped in culture and history. The state is also dotted with plenty of roadside attractions. If you take the time to explore, you'll find Iowa is home to many unique landmarks, which we encourage you to discover and even take a photo or two.
