Interstate 45

Interstate 45 (I-45) is a north–south interstate highway in eastern Texas in American Truck Simulator. It runs from SH 87 in Galveston to Interstate 30, US 67, and US 75 in Dallas.

Course

Interstate 45 begins at the western terminus of SH 87 in Galveston and heads west. It intersects SH 275 before leaving the city and crosses over the Galveston Causeway, which carries I-45 across the Galveston Bay into Tiki Island and curves to the northwest. I-45 enters Harris Country in the central part of Greater Houston and intersects SPH 1 (known as NASA Road 1 in real-life) in Webster; soon afterwards, it enters Houston. Tracing from the southeast to the northwest through Houston, I-45 intersects SH 35 south of the city, Interstate 69, US 59 and SH 288 southeast of downtown, Interstate 10 and US 90 northwest of downtown, and FM 1960 near the Houston Intercontinental Airport north of the city. Tracing to the north and entering the Piney Woods region in eastern Texas, a weigh station is first passed, and then it enters Huntsville. There, I-45 runs parallel with SH 75 and intersects SH 19, US 190, SH 30 and FM 1791 through the western city limits. Leaving Huntsville for approximately 15 miles (24 km), I-45 intersects SH 7 in Centerville; soon afterwards, it begins to trace to the northwest through Texas' Prairies and Lakes region. A second weigh station is passed, and the Navarro County Safety Rest Area is also passed soon afterwards. I-45 approaches Corsicana and intersects SH 31; soon afterwards, it enters the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex from the southeast. It enters Hutchins first, where a third weigh station is passed, and then it approaches its junction with Interstate 20 before entering Dallas city limits. I-45 approaches downtown Dallas, as the skyline can be seen at I-45's approximate midway point between I-20 and its northern terminus, which is where the highway meets Interstate 30 and US 75, at a four-way stack interchange.
