Course
The southern terminus of SH 124 is at SH 87 in Bolivar Peninsula, roughly at the curve, intersecting an access road to a beach. The highway travels north as it approaches the town of Winnie, where it meets the highways of SH 73 and FM 1663, both connecting Interstate 10 to Houston to the west and Beaumont to the north, at its northern terminus. Here, SH 124 inaccessibly continues east, following a concurrency with SH 73 towards Port Arthur.
