Texarkana is a city featured in both Texas and Arkansas map expansion DLC's for American Truck Simulator.

Summary

Texarkana straddles the border between Texas and Arkansas, with the state line running through the center of the city. The Texas half of the city was added to American Truck Simulator in update 1.48.[1] It was the sixth city to be added outside of the release of the base game or a map expansion after Cody was added in update 1.45.

Texarkana stands as a city divided between Texas and Arkansas, its heart sliced by the state border. To fully explore Texarkana's unique charm, players will need both the Texas and Arkansas DLCs. Notable landmarks include banks in the Arkansas half and a captivating tire factory, providing an exclusive cross-state experience. Texarkana is known for its vibrant cultural scene, offering a blend of Texan and Arkansan influences.

Trivia

  • Before the city was added, an incomplete section of Interstate 30 (along with other roads in northeastern Texas) and the incomplete Texarkana Loop, consisting the portions of US 59, Interstate 369, Loop 151 in Texas, Arkansas Highway 151, and Interstate 49 outside the barriers of the game were discovered, all of which were eventually removed in update 1.47.[2] The city was also mentioned as part of a new "northern area" in the Texas DLC release stream by Map DLC Lead Saimon, which he had also mentioned some other areas in Texas that would not fit the release of the DLC.[3]
