Interstate 2

Interstate 2 (I-2) is an east–west interstate highway in southern Texas in American Truck Simulator. It runs from US 83 west of Mission to Interstate 69E, US 77 and US 83 in Harlingen, concurrent with US 83 for its entire length.

Along with Interstate 69E in the game, I-2 is disconnected from the rest of the Interstate Highway System. In real life, I-2 is planned to be connected with the rest of the system in the future. The highway is also the southernmost east–west, and the lowest numbered Interstate Highway in the United States.

Course

Interstate 2 begins about a mile from Mission on US 83 and runs easterly through the Lower Rio Grande Valley for its entire length. The route enters the city of Mission, where it has an interchange with FM 494 (Shary Road), and then it enters McAllen, where it has an interchange with SH 336 (10th Street). I-2 leaves McAllen and continues to pass through the valley with a few curves until reaching its eastern terminus with Interstate 69E and US 77 in Harlingen.
