TX 35
State Highway 35 (SH 35) is a north–south state highway in southeastern Texas in American Truck Simulator. It runs from Interstate 37 and US 181 in Corpus Christi to Interstate 45 in Houston, paralleling the Gulf of Mexico for much of its length.
Course
The southern terminus of SH 35 (as well as US 181) is at Interstate 37 near downtown Corpus Christi. The highways cross the Corpus Christ Bay on the Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge before crossing the Neuces Bay into Portland. In Gregory, the northern terminus of US 181 is reached, and the freeway section of SH 35 ends at FM 3036 shortly afterwards; here, the highway runs east–west while it also runs concurrent with FM 3036 into Fulton. It breaks away from the Farm to Market road as it turns north, leaving the town. SH 35 cruises its way through the small settlement of Tivoli before entering Port Lavaca, where it intersects the southern terminus of US 87 in ATS. After crossing Lavaca Bay, the highway enters Point Comfort and passes a controversial Formosa PVC plant, which experienced a propylene explosion on October 6, 2005; soon afterwards, it enters Palacios at Tres Palacios Bay. At this point, SH 35 begins to run more northeast–southwest through coastal forests, intersecting the (inaccessible) eastern terminus of SH 71 near Old Ocean, and enters the Greater Houston metropolitan statistical area. After turning due north, the highway passes through Alvin upon entering the city of Houston. The highway follows Telephone Road until it reaches its northern terminus at Interstate 45 between downtown Houston and Webster.
