The Special Transport is a cargo pack DLC for both Euro Truck Simulator 2. It was released on December 13, 2017.

Summary

Special Transport DLC adds oversized cargoes and escort vehicles to the game ranging from various cities, countries and states. As of the release of Special Transport DLC, the DLC isn't supported in Convoy.

Features

Because of the huge and heavy cargoes, the trailers have steerable axles similarly to the Heavy Cargo Pack. To help with the maneuvering of the oversized cargo, the Special Transport DLC includes escort vehicles (pilot vehicles) which assist the player along the route by stopping traffic at intersections and guiding the AI to leave the player additional space. Other features are:

• Unique job routes for the Special Transport (most in the base map, some through DLC expansions, more to come)
• A combination of over 80 special transport jobs

• Original intros for the cargoes and jobs, crowds and police cars along the routes
• New models, characters, and animations of people assisting or spectating the transport
• Curious pedestrians, journalists or transport co-workers along the routes
• A new set of warning beacons for the trucks

Gameplay Features

• Close collaboration with AI escort vehicles required
• Enhanced AI behavior: clearing the path, stopping traffic, giving advice, pushing opposing vehicles to the side, etc.
• Possibility to fail the given job on the spot if you don’t adhere to strict instructions or regulations
• New checkpoints system to keep your progress in a special transport job safe

The following routes have been removed from the game in previous updates:
