Euro Truck Simulator 2: Going East! is a map expansion DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. It was the first major map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2 (being released on September 19, 2013), and it costs $9.99, £7,99, €9,99.

Summary

As the first map expansion of DLC involved, Going East! centers on Eastern Europe, which includes the rest of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, all of which were first introduced in the official release of the base game of Euro Truck Simulator 2. The DLC also adds Hungary to the game, initially only rendering the northern part of the country until update 1.19 added two more cities in its southern half.

Originally a so-called "Eastern European Expansion", the name of the DLC wasn't officially announced until August 1, 2013, making it the first map expansion that did not have an official name after its announcement. Expanding across the eastern part of the North European Plain in northern Poland (part of the larger and vast European Plain) to the westernmost parts of the Carpathian Mountains in Slovakia and the Great Hungarian Plain, the Going East! DLC includes a variety of geography features across the region, which also includes challenging but also scenic roads across the mountainous areas and the vast densely forested regions. Major cities such as Warszawa, Kraków, Gdańsk, Lublin, Ostrava, Košice, and Budapest are also included in the DLC.

Although the quality of the DLC does not meet SCS Software's current mapping standards (e.g. comparing to the latest DLCs including Iberia and West Balkans), and despite the fact that the DLC has received significant attention from players after Germany was reworked, there has been no official indication on if a rework of the Going East! is going to be made in the future.

Going East! add-on expands the original Euro Truck Simulator 2 map with new destinations for cargo delivery across Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.
