Euro Truck Simulator 2: Nordic Horizons is an upcoming map expansion DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2.
The Nordic countries (also known as the Nordics or Norden; 'the North') consist of sovereign states and autonomous territories located in the geographical region of Northern Europe and North Atlantic. The Nordic countries includes the sovereign states of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden; the autonomous territories of the Faroe Islands and Greenland; and the autonomous region of Åland. In this DLC, the only states and territories not included will be Iceland, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland.
To bring the existing part of Scandinavia that is covered in the Scandinavia DLC closer to current standards it will get re reskin and in parts a rebuild from scratch.[1]
Cities

Currently, 18 cities are known to be featured in the DLC.
12 March 2024: Blog post about new landmarks and areas.[5]
26 January 2024: First official blog post revealing the name of the expansion with more new screenshots[23] and added to Steam Store.[24]
19 December 2023: The 2023 Christmas live stream confirms the inclusion of Finland, and six additional cities.
3 November 2023: A changelog about the 1.49.0.11 update (open beta) accidentally includes changes regarding the road between Storuman and Arvidsjaur. It is removed in an edit shortly after the post is made.[3]
Late October 2023: Models with the tag poc are found in the game files, presumed to belong to this expansion.[25]
19 October 2023: In the West Balkans DLC release stream, SCS Software CEO Pavel Šebor confirms that a Northern map expansion is in development.
20 December 2022: In the 2022 SCS Christmas Stream, the team reveals some real-life photographs of moose, roe deer, a Border Crossing on the E10 road at the border with Sweden, and a group of team members from SCS Software at Nordkapp and an entrance sign of Norway in Bokmål and Northern Sámi languages, respectively written as Norge and Norga.[26]
Early 2022: The game file europe_bgn.dds is updated. The map highlights 27 cities in Norway and Sweden north of the Scandinavia DLC.
