Sweden

Sweden (Swedish: Sverige) is a country in northern Europe featured in the Scandinavia map expansion DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. It will be expanded further in the upcoming Nordic Horizons DLC.

Summary

Sweden is one of the three countries of Scandinavia, and among them has the most cities featured in Euro Truck Simulator 2. The country is bordered by Norway to the west and north, Finland to the east, and is connected to Denmark in the southwest via the Øresund Bridge.

Sweden was first introduced in the Scandinavia DLC, and will be expanded with the upcoming Nordic Horizons DLC. When the Scandinavia DLC was first released, there were only 15 Swedish cities featured in the map expansion. Later, the city of Kapellskär was added in update 1.33 in preparation for the release of the Beyond the Baltic Sea DLC.

Sweden designates all of its main motorways under the National Road (Swedish: Riksväg) classification. European Routes (Swedish: Europavägar) in Sweden are also classified as National Roads, but are distinguished with an 'E' preceding the number and a green background (in contrast with the typical dark blue background). There are 27 National Roads in Sweden featured in Euro Truck Simulator 2:

• 6 May 2015: The Scandinavia map expansion is released, adding the southern part of Sweden to Euro Truck Simulator 2.
• 26 November 2018: Update 1.33 adds the city of Kapellskär.
• TBA: The Nordic Horizons map expansion is released, adding the northern part of Sweden to Euro Truck Simulator 2.
