Romania (Romanian: România) is a country in southeastern Europe featured in the Road to the Black Sea map expansion DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2.[1][2][3]

Summary

Romania is bordered by Hungary to the west, Serbia to the southwest, Bulgaria to the south, Ukraine to the north, and Moldova to the east. It also has a short coastline on the Black Sea to the east.

Romania is a large (238,397 square kilometres) and wonderful country with a unique spirit and cultural tradition. A reason for this lies in the fact that the country is at the crossroad of Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe. Many different influences met in Romania during its rich history, and marks of these can be seen even today - for example in the number of architectural landmarks.

Trivia

  • At the time of the release of the Road to the Black Sea map expansion, Romania was not yet part of the Schengen Area, resulting in border crossings being placed along the border with its fellow European Union members Hungary and Bulgaria. However, Romania and Bulgaria were accepted into the Schengen Area in 2025, and all border controls were lifted, but it is unknown if the border crossings depicted in-game will be removed in a future update.
