Oakland is a city in the San Francisco Bay Area in California featured in the base game of American Truck Simulator.

Summary

Oakland was also featured in the first SCS Software game: Hard Truck: 18 Wheels of Steel, as part of San Francisco. Oakland is located just east of San Francisco and northeast of San Jose.

The Oakland port is what this city is important for in the real world ... The downtown, full of tall skyscrapers, is connected to the port by a winding series of underpasses under the railroad and the highway. This connection and multi-level traffic arrangement offers unique views and adds to the character of the area.

Features

The only company with a depot in Oakland is the Oakland Shippers container port, based off of the Port of Oakland. It is the sole depot of this company in the entire game. It contains a rest area within the gates. One of them is a Gallon Oil station accepting the corresponding cargo, located outside of Oakland Shippers. To the east of Interstate 580 there are additionally a service shop with overnight parking and an unpaved rest area across the road. There is a toll gate on westbound Interstate 80.
