Oakland is a city in the San Francisco Bay Area in California featured in the base game of American Truck Simulator.
Summary
Oakland was also featured in the first SCS Software game: Hard Truck: 18 Wheels of Steel, as part of San Francisco. Oakland is located just east of San Francisco and northeast of San Jose.

Features
The only company with a depot in Oakland is the Oakland Shippers container port, based off of the Port of Oakland. It is the sole depot of this company in the entire game. It contains a rest area within the gates. One of them is a Gallon Oil station accepting the corresponding cargo, located outside of Oakland Shippers. To the east of Interstate 580 there are additionally a service shop with overnight parking and an unpaved rest area across the road. There is a toll gate on westbound Interstate 80.

- In the initial version of American Truck Simulator, Interstate 80 terminated at the toll gate, from which Interstate 580 continued to the southeast. TBC
- In update 1.5, as part of the 1:35 to 1:20 map rescale, a trumpet interchange of Interstate 80 and Interstate 580 was added.
- In update 1.44, as part of the second phase of the California rework, the companies in Richmond became shown as part of Oakland as San Rafael was removed as a city.
