History
- In the initial version of American Truck Simulator, SR 1 began in Oxnard as a continuation of US 101 and ended in San Francisco.
- In update 1.3, the section of SR 1 from Leggett to US 101 northeast of Leggett was added.
- In update 1.5, as part of the 1:35 to 1:20 map rescale, SR 1 was extended to Los Angeles. On the rest of the route, new sections were added to accommodate the new map scale, including most of the route between San Luis Obispo and Santa Cruz.
- In update 1.28, SR 1 had a missing section between Santa Maria and Santa Cruz due to a real-life landslide.
- In update 1.31.2, a dirt road was added around the landslide, connecting the two ends of SR 1 as well as two new Mud Creek Slide depots on each side.
- In update 1.31.2.4, the landslide was removed and SR 1 reopened.
- In update 1.36, the at-grade three-way junction with Swift Street in Santa Cruz was re-oriented from a SR 1 TOTSO to SR 1 going straight through the junction. A gas station and an International truck dealer were added on SR 1 in Santa Cruz.
- In update 1.41, as part of the first phase of the California rework, the section of SR 1 from Leggett to US 101 northeast of Leggett was removed as the town was replaced by Laytonville.
