E58

European Route E58 is a Class-A intermediate east-west European road originating in Wien, Austria, and passing through Slovakia and Romania. A very small fraction of the route's length is included in the Euro Truck Simulator 2 base game map between Wien and Bratislava, but additional sections were added to the east in the Going East! and Road to the Black Sea DLCs.

Route Description

In real life, the E58 is a continuous route going from Wien, Austria to Rostov-on-Don, Russia. It passes through southern Slovakia and briefly enters Ukraine before traversing northern Romania. After that, the route continues into central Moldova and along the Ukrainian coastline. However, the majority of this route remains unrendered, due to Ukraine currently being inaccessible, and most of playable Romania being south of the E58. The main section of the E58 which is playable in-game spans the distance between Wien and Košice. Technically, there also a section in Romania which is part of the E58, consisting of a small stretch of road west of Iași. However, this section is never acknowledged as being part of the E58 in-game.

From here, the E58 continues east past Košice in real-life, briefly entering Ukraine before heading south into Romania. Most of the E58 runs through areas north of the playable area in Romania, with only a short section in the northwest being drivable in-game.
