Rostock is a city in northern Germany featured in Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Summary

Rostock is located on the shores of the Baltic Sea and at the mouth of the Varnava River. The Varnava flows into the sea in the north of the city, and at this confluence is the port of Rostock. Players can follow the city circuit to reach the port, which has four parts that feature unique depots that copy the industry of the Rostock port.

Connections

Two new roads were added as a part of the Rostock rework in update 1.48:

  • The B103 connects western Rostock to the A20 to the south.
  • The B105 crosses northern Rostock via the tolled Warnowtunnel, connecting the B103 and the A19 and providing access to the harbour area of Rostock. If truckers do not want to pay this toll, they can bypass it by using a road to the south which passes through the city center.

If the Scandinavia map expansion DLC is active, a seaport is added to the north of the city, providing ferry services to Gedser, Denmark and Trelleborg, Sweden.

Release History

  • In update 1.32, Rostock was slightly reworked during phase 1 of the Revisiting Germany project. Minor improvements were made to the road network surrounding the city, and one of its connections to the A20 was removed.
  • In update 1.48, Rostock was completely rebuilt.
  • In update 1.51, the Subse food plant introduced in update 1.48 was replaced by a Granoro food plant.
