San Rafael is an inaccessible scenery town and former city in California featured in the base game of American Truck Simulator.
Summary
It is located in the San Francisco Bay Area in the northwestern part of the state, at the junction of Interstate 580 and US 101 north of San Francisco. The scenery town replaced the city in the same location in update 1.44 as part of the second phase of the California rework.
Connections
- The runs southeast across the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge to Richmond and Oakland.
- The runs south across the Golden Gate Bridge to San Francisco and north to Ukiah and Eureka.
In addition, the runs east from US 101 in Novato north of San Rafael towards Napa Valley (via the ) and Sacramento (via the ).
Release History
- For the pre-1.44 history, see San Rafael (city)#History.
- In update 1.50, as part of the third phase of the California rework, US 101 on the south side of San Rafael was rebuilt and expanded to six lanes, and an inaccessible northbound exit to Spencer Avenue and Monte Mar Drive was added.
