The Rýchlostná cesta (Expressway) R1 in Slovakia is the main highway connection of Banská Bystrica. Both Banská Bystrica and the R1 Expressway are featured in Euro Truck Simulator 2: Going East! expansion.

True to its real-life counterpart at the time, the road branches from Diaľnica D1 and takes a more direct route towards Banská Bystrica in central Slovakia. The road's standard declines north of Banská Bystrica, and the route continues as a I/59 until it meets Diaľnica D1 again near the unnamed town of Ružomberok.
