Bordeaux is a city located in southwestern France which is featured in the Vive la France! map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Summary

Bordeaux was first introduced in Euro Truck Simulator, but Euro Truck Simulator 2 initially only featured the northeastern part of France, and Bordeaux, being in the west, was left out. The Vive la France! DLC featuring the rest of France, re-introduces the city.

Features

Depots

There are three main parts of the city featured in the game: Bordeaux-Centre and -Nord are mainly industrial areas, while the third part, Bassens, is a port area.

Bordeaux-Centre features a Bâtisse construction area, and an IKA Bohag store.

The other larger part of the city, Bordeaux-Nord, includes a BHV and Globeur depot.

In Bassens, the port area, there is only a Huilant depot.

In addition, one can find a Dans le Jardin farm, an MVM Carrière quarry, and a Lisette Logistics depot along the minor road, which runs around the city in the west. The Lisette Logistics depot is situated in an area which is signed as "Zone Activites CESTAS-Jarry" in the game.

Facilities

Bordeaux features three gas stations, a recruitment agency, a hotel, a garage, and a large DAF truck dealer with a service shop.

Landmarks

Bordeaux features a lot of landmarks. The most visible one is the Garonne river, which is crossed by the A630. In southern direction from this bridge, truckers can see the downtown area of Bordeaux and the Pont Jacques Chaban-Delmas, while they recognize the port area in northern direction. The port area which is called Bassens is an accessible part of the city. On the eastern shore of the river, there is the Château de Lormont directly next to the highway.

Connections

Four inter-city Autoroutes meet near Bordeaux:

  • The A10 connects Bordeaux to Paris, the French capital. Truckers should also follow this road towards other western French cities, e.g. Nantes.
  • The A62 connects Bordeaux to other French cities in the south, the nearest being Toulouse.
  • The A63 connects Bordeaux to the Spanish border, passing Bayonne on its way.
  • The A89 runs east from Bordeaux towards Clermont-Ferrand and Lyon.

All Autoroutes above end on the partially rendered Rocade de Bordeaux. The road is numbered N230 between the A10 and A62, and A630 elsewhere.
