The Périphérique de Paris runs along the accessible part of Paris city (which is actually just beyond it).

• To the south, the Périphérique intersects with A4, which runs east towards Reims, Metz and Strasbourg.
• To the north, the Périphérique intersects with A3 and connects Gonesse / Charles de Gaulle Airport / Roissy-en-France to the north. Beyond them, the A1 leads truckers to Poissy and other destinations to the north. The intersection also features connections directly to / from the city streets.
• For destination to the south and west (e.g. Lyon or Le Mans), truckers should take the southern section of N104 and thence Autoroutes A6, A10 or A11. It matters relatively little whether truckers enters/exit the city to the north (via A3 / A104) or to the south (via A4).
