The Autoroute A7 in France was introduced in Euro Truck Simulator 2 game map with the release of Vive la France! DLC. It serves as the primary connection south of Lyon, the southernmost French city in the base game map area.

Initially the Autoroute plugs into a crossroad next to Lyon's service shop. When SCS reworked the Lyon area in version 1.43 update, the A7 was changed to resemble its real-life counterpart more, by diverting to connect the A6 directly but having no direct access to Lyon city center. The 3-way junction between the A7 and A47 was also changed to accommodate the A46 as well. This makes the section of A7 north of A46 part of the loop road around Lyon, and, therefore, open to truckers without Vive la France!.

At the other end of the road, the A7 does not lead truckers into Marseille despite signs along the road indicating so. This is because SCS has not rendered the part of Marseille near the terminus of A7. Instead, truckers need to drive on the A55 to enter or exit Marseille.
