N356 (France)
The Route nationale N356 is an express road in France, along the east side of the city Lille.
History
The road has in fact been featured in Euro Truck Simulator 2 game map since its initial release. However, prior to version 1.38 it met the and the eastern access of Lille at two separate level T-junctions. After that, the road runs for several kilometers before terminating near the French-Belgian border behind Lille.
SCS re-rendered the Lille area at version 1.38 update. The three highway junctions around the city are re-modeled with new signs erected around those junctions. One of the preview images released by SCS on 20 June 2020 shows a road sign indicating drivers are to be on the N356 ahead[ref 1].
The updated road was officially released, along with the new rendering of Lille, and on 21 July 2020[ref 2]. At its release, N356 is also the largest-numbered Route nationale signed in the game, but it's superseded by after the latter was recognized by in-game signs in a later game update.
Route Details
In real-life, the road north of Lille is actually , and continues in Belgium (as Autoroute A14) all the way to Antwerp.
However, in ETS 2, when exiting from Lille all signs directing north show the N356 number. Meanwhile, the southbound sign on the road north of Lille follows the standard of a Route nationale, implying that piece of road is recognized as a Route nationale or ordinary road.
Without more concrete proof indicating otherwise, the road north of Lille is recognized here as part of N356 as far as the "end of highway" sign.

Trivia
- There are at least three display styles of N356 on in-game signs. The one used in Truck Simulator Wiki comes from the overhead sign on the eastern exit of Lille proper, and is distinct from other road number signs in France because there's no space between the alphabet "N" and the numbers.
