Osnabrück

Osnabrück is a city located in northwestern Germany that is featured in Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Summary

Osnabrück is one of the six German cities in Euro Truck Simulator 2 which were not included in the earlier German Truck Simulator (the others are Kassel, Mannheim, Travemünde (added in update 1.33), Werlte (added in update 1.45), and Winsen (added in update 1.48). Osnabrück was slightly reworked in update 1.32, and completely rebuilt in update 1.51.

Several buildings in Osnabrück are rendered in-game, including the Iduna Tower, the Port, and the three churches of St. Catherine, St. Mary and St. Peter.

Connections

The A30 and B68 provide access into Osnabrück from the A1.

The A1 runs northeast to Bremen and Hamburg and southwest towards Dortmund and Frankfurt am Main (the latter city via the A45 and A5).
The A30 runs west towards Amsterdam, Netherlands.
A minor road runs southeast to the A2, which continues east to Hannover and west to Dortmund.

Two minor roads provide access into Osnabrück from the A1.

The A1 runs northeast to Bremen and Hamburg and southwest towards Dortmund and Frankfurt am Main (the latter city via the A45 and A5).
Southwest of the city, the A30 branches off of the A1 and runs west towards Amsterdam, Netherlands.
A minor road runs southeast to the A2, which continues east to Hannover and west to Dortmund.

Release History

In update 1.32, Osnabrück was slightly reworked during phase one of the Revisiting Germany project. One of Osnabrück's access points from the A1 was moved south to form a cloverleaf interchange with the A1 and A30.
In update 1.51, Osnabrück eas completely rebuilt.
