The Bundesautobahn A7 is a major north-south connection in Germany. In real life, it is the longest Autobahn in Germany from the border of Denmark to the border of Austria. The rendered section of Euro Truck Simulator 2 almost spans the entire length as well, with only the section south of 
omitted.
Most of the road is in the base game map, but the section north of 
requires the Scandinavia DLC for access.
Release History
Originally the rendered part of the road only runs between the near Kiel and 
near Kassel, inheriting the rendering in German Truck Simulator. The Scandinavia DLC extends the Autobahn up to the Danish border.
In version 1.32 update, the road north of Hannover is reworked, and it no longer has direct access to Hamburg – instead, truckers need to drive on 
for Hamburg. Version 1.35 update re-renders the road to Kassel, as well as "taking over" a section of highway west of the interchange. The rest of the road south to is added in version 1.40 update, with further interchanges with 
, 
and 
along the way.

Trivia
- The distance for the Bundesautobahn 7 in game is shorter with only 526 km (325 mi), in contrast to real life with 965 km (600 mi). The featured section of the road is 15 km longer than in real life.
