The A8 is an Autobahn in southern Germany. It goes from Stuttgart to Salzburg. In the west it continues as A5 to Mannheim whereas it becomes the A1 in Austria. There is a section between Stuttgart and München where the A8 splits in two (Albaufstieg). The section near München is not part of the A8 but the A99 instead.
