The Start Your Engines achievement icon
Start Your Engines was an event held by SCS Software through the World of Trucks platform, featuring Euro Truck Simulator 2. The event started on May 18, 2018 and ended on June 17, 2018. The event was to celebrate the start of FIA ETRC 2018 season [1].
Requirements
- Truckers must possess Euro Truck Simulator 2 with a profile connected to a World of Trucks account in order to participate.
- No DLC is necessary.
- Participating truckers must make deliveries of the "Racing Components" trailers, which were available as External Contracts on Euro Truck Simulator 2, to at least 12 different cities.
- Truckers must take jobs spanning for 200 km (124 mi) or more to count.
- No community goal was set.
Rewards
- A paint job named Slipstream.
- A truck accessory named Pace Pete Bobblehead.
- Three windows pennants, each representing ETRC, Goodyear and Krone respectively.
All reward items are tradable on Steam.
SCS also picked two truckers, each of whom received two tickets to attend an FIA ETRC 2018 event of their choice.
The Start Your Engines achievement icon
In addition, a World of Trucks Achievement, also named Start Your Engines, was unlocked for truckers completing the event. However, SCS did not mention this reward in their blog posts.
Results
According to SCS, almost 82,000 truckers completed the goal and received their rewards[2].
