Cruising Colorado was an event held by SCS Software through the World of Trucks platform, featuring American Truck Simulator. The event started on November 12, 2020 and ended on January 17, 2021. It was the second WoT event to directly coincide a DLC release, involving American Truck Simulator: Colorado.

Rules

  • All American Truck Simulator players with a World of Trucks-connected profile may participate in the event.
  • To participate in the event, a player must make deliveries through external contracts to / from any city in Colorado, namely:
  • Deliveries must have a distance of 100 miles each (161 km) or more to count.

Mission Objective

  • To achieve the personal goal, each individual player must make at least one deliveries to or from each city in Colorado.
  • The community goal requires all participating players to conducting deliveries such that their distances add up to 60,000,000 miles (96,560,640 km) or more.

Release History

  • November 11, 2020: Blog post to announce the release of the event.
  • November 23, 2020: Announcement that the community goal had been reached, and the continuation of event until at least Christmas 2020.
  • January 6, 2021: Official announcement that the event was to end on January 17, 2021 at 23:59:59, the same as the Christmas Wise Giving Event.

Trivia

  • If a delivery involves two cities previously unserved by the player, both will be counted. This makes the minimum number of deliveries required to complete the personal goal be 7 (6 pairs of cities, plus 1 for the odd one out).
  • The concurrency between this event and the Christmas Wise Giving Event was possibly the cause that Colorado had become the first ATS state to have all cities attaining maximum "hearts" and "gifts" in that event.
