- In update 1.49, the mountains around Salt Lake City received new models.
- In update 1.40, the company operating the Bingham Canyon Mine was changed from HMS Machinery to Coastline Mining.
- In update 1.39, a viewpoint was added at the Kennecott Copper Mine southwest of the city.

- Twin-cities of Salt Lake City, which are also featured in SCS Software games:
- The Grid System used to monitor traffic in every city around the world and in American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2, was developed in Salt Lake 150 years ago. It is still used today to route traffic through the cities.
