US 189

U.S. Route 189 (US 189) is a north–south US Highway in northern Utah and western Wyoming in American Truck Simulator. The route is separated into two sections: The first section runs from SR-52 in Orem in Provo to Interstate 84 in Evanston. The second section runs from US 191 in Daniel Junction to US 26, US 89, and US 191 in Jackson.

Course

US 189 begins at an intersection with SR-52 in eastern Orem, north of Provo. The route runs northeast, passing through the Wasatch Mountains via Provo Canyon to reach Heber City. At the town, the highway joins US 40 as it progresses north to meet Interstate 80 at Silver Summit, at which point the route joins the interstate along its northeastern path into Wyoming.

Entering Wyoming, US 189 follows Interstate 80 past the city of Evanston until reaching its eastern outskirts, where signage for US 189 ends. The highway resumes to the north in Daniel Junction, where it runs concurrently with US 191 northwest. The route snakes through the valleys of Bridger-Teton National Forest before meeting US 26 and US 191 in Alpine Junction on the western edge of the state. All four routes together run north to the city of Jackson, where US 189 terminates.

Evanston business loop

U.S. Route 189 Business (US 189 Bus.) is a business loop of US 189 in Evanston, Wyoming. The highway begins at exit 3 of I-80 and US 189; the ramp from westbound I-80 to the business route lies east of the other three ramps of the diamond interchange. The business routes heads east along Harrison Drive, which veers northeast onto 11th Street at the western edge of the city street grid. In the downtown area, US 189 Bus. turns southeast onto Front Street. At the intersection of Front Street and Sixth Street, which is the northern terminus of WYO 150 and the southern terminus of WYO 89, the business route turns north and crosses a rail line. The highway turns east onto Bear River Drive and follows that road until it rejoins with I-80 at exit 6.

Release History

• In the initial version of the Utah map expansion DLC, the section of US 189 from SR-52 in Orem to Interstate 80 and Interstate 84 in northeastern Utah was added.
