Kansas City is a city featured in the Kansas and Missouri map expansion DLCs for American Truck Simulator.

Summary

The Kansas City metropolitan area straddles the border between Kansas and Missouri, with the state line running through the center. The two cities on either side of the state line are legally separate with their own governments and services, though the two are heavily culturally and economically integrated. The Missouri side is more populated, and hosts the economic center of the city, featuring tall skyscrapers and the downtown business district. Meanwhile, the Kansas side in-game is mostly industry-focused, featuring a large railyard, the Fairfax Industrial District, and the General Motors Fairfax Assembly Plant (branded as Caliber Motors in-game). It is the second-largest metropolitan area in Missouri (after St. Louis), and the largest metropolitan area in Kansas.

Get ready for a unique trucking adventure in Kansas City, which is split between Kansas and Missouri. Truckers will cruise through the Kansas side, catching a glimpse of Missouri's downtown. The economic spotlight shines on the new Caliber Motors car factory, alongside a bustling scene with a custom grain elevator, trailer service, and a general warehouse. Reflecting its historical railroad significance, Kansas City features rail-related depots, including the rail supply depot and railroad construction depot. Beyond the city limits, the Railroad Intermodal awaits. During your journey, catch a glimpse of the iconic Strawberry Hill!
