Ferry: Euro Truck Simulator 2

A ferry is a facility by which truckers may get across seas in Euro Truck Simulator 2. Truckers can use ferries by driving trucks to seaports, shown on the map as , paying the transport fee, wait for the vessel's arrival and then resume driving.

Summary

Ferry lines as a mechanic were first introduced in Euro Truck Simulator Gold Edition, which added a service between Dover and Calais as the only way of transportation between United Kingdom and mainland Europe.

The initial release Euro Truck Simulator 2 featured four ferry services, exclusively operating between the United Kingdom and mainland Europe. Many more services have since been established with the subsequent release of new map expansion DLCs, as well as game updates which have added new services to the base game.

Trivia

• Before the Scandinavia DLC, all ferries were based off of a generic ferry boat design. However, since the Scandinavia DLC, the ferries have been based off of Color Line's Superspeed class of ships.
