Canada is a country in North America that is located just north of the United States.

Summary

By total area (including its waters), Canada is the second-largest country in the world, after Russia. By land area alone, Canada ranks fourth, due to having the world's largest area of fresh water lakes. Stretching from the Atlantic Ocean in the east, along the Arctic Ocean to the north, and to the Pacific Ocean in the west, the country encompasses 9,984,670 km2 (3,855,100 sq mi) of territory. American Truck Simulator

It's currently unknown if Canada will be part of American Truck Simulator in the future. The only states currently in the game that border Canada are Washington, Idaho, and Montana, which share a border with the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. In the future, Interstate 5, US 97, and US 395 in Washington, and US 95 in Idaho, could possibly extend into British Columbia, and Interstate 15, US 89, US 93, and MT 232 in Montana could possibly extend into Alberta. Pavel mentioned in a stream that SCS had plans to finish all of North America someday, but whether it is in the near future they will reach Canada is disputed. British Columbia is going to be featured in future according to the game files.

In update 1.51 open beta for American Truck Simulator, the usa.dds file was updated, unblanking Canada alongside with Mexico, The Bahamas, Cuba, Haiti, Hawaii (Oahu only), and the rest on the map, and adding grey roads leading to British Columbia and Alberta: Extending Interstate 5, US 97 and US 395 in Washington and US 95 in Idaho towards British Columbia, and US 93, US 89, Interstate 15, and the Wild Horse Trail (MT 232) in Montana towards Alberta.[1] A later update to the 1.51 open beta also added map overlay icons for the British Columbia sections of Trans-Canada Highways 1 and 16.[2]

The Promods: Canada map mod for American Truck Simulator adds a portion of southern British Columbia to the game.
