The following liveries are included with the model:
Western Star 49X
The Western Star 49X is a truck in American Truck Simulator manufactured by the American truck manufacturer Western Star Trucks. It was added to the game on September 30, 2020, along with the 1.38 update.
Summary
The 49X is designed for use in vocational settings, such as heavy haul, construction, and logging. As such, it features many distinct customization options when compared to other trucks, including various bumper styles, bull bars, front-end mudflaps, and chassis with set-back and set-forward front axle options. However, it lacks many other options that are featured in most other trucks in American Truck Simulator, such as aerodynamic enhancements.
After the release in 1.38, the truck got various updates/additions. In update 1.40, it received 48- and 72-inch Sleeper Cabin options, new customization options, 36 new chassis options, and the SBA version. In update 1.47 the Power Hood customization option was released for the SFA version only. The Power Hood allows for the use of larger engines with greater cooling demands, such as the DD16, with the SFA option. "The Power Hood option breathes new life into the Western Star 49X. With its imposing front grille, muscular lines, and distinctive contours, this enhancement commands attention on the virtual highways, evoking strength and merging classic charm with modern power. And in combination with a new Texas bumper, and the recently added cabin suspension simulation, the trucking experience feels fresh and mighty. [1]"
“ | The most tested, durable, and toughest Western Star® truck to-date, the 49X is built to thrive in rugged environments and to take on anything. | ” |
