The Freightliner Cascadia is a truck in American Truck Simulator manufactured by the American truck manufacturer called Freightliner Trucks. It was added to the game on December 2, 2020, along with the 1.39 update.

Summary

The Cascadia is mostly used by independent contractors/drivers, and is one of the most popular trucks in the United States. For example if you ever visited Florida, this is one of the most common trucks in Florida and you've seen in one color, Green. One of the largest buyers of the Cascadia Day Cabs is Publix, a large supermarket chain located in the Southeast of the United States. Along with that, some other reputable companies are Fedex and Averitt Express, see more companies that use the truck.

It was first announced by a blog post in January 2016 [1] and it was teased two years later by SCS Community Manager Carthoo.[2] The Cascadia model that was shown in January 2016 was the old Cascadia generation (2016) and the teaser that Carthoo had shown in September 2018 was a CAD drawing of the new Cascadia generation (2018). On December 7, 2021, SCS announced on their blog post that the Freightliner Cascadia would receive more new parts and customization options to the truck called Freightliner Cascadia 2022. It was added to the game alongside the 1.43 update and it was an update to the Freightliner Cascadia.[3]

To quote Freightliner's sales literature, 'The Cascadia® is the most advanced on-highway truck Freightliner has ever offered. With more than one million hours of R&D and millions of miles of real-world testing, the Cascadia® is the result of sustained, concentrated investment in the future of trucking.'
~ SCS Software's blog[4]
