The Volvo VNL (2018) is a truck in American Truck Simulator manufactured by the Swedish truck manufacturer called Volvo. It was released on May 25th, 2023 in update 1.47.
Summary
The Volvo VNL 2018 is primarily used for long hauls on highways.
This VNL 2018 model includes the VNL 860, 740, and 300, with the 860 standing in the spotlight as the flagship and most advanced model of the three, offering the highest standard for the most demanding of truckers. The truck features a broad range of customization options for both the interior and exterior that will make you stand out wherever your journey will take you. This truck is available with cutting-edge engine options that redefine performance: the Volvo D13, the Volvo D13 Turbo Compound, and the Cummins X15. This Volvo is the first branded truck in the United States that introduced the Globetrotter trim.
While this generation of Volvo truck doesn't feature a powerful engine to cater all applications. It's a sleek model for fleet owners to save money and also be fuel efficient.

- 25 May 2023: SCS team revealed the Volvo during a special livestream.
- It was released 1 hour into the stream.
- 20 December 2022: In the SCS Christmas Stream, the team reveals 3D images of the modeling process of the New Volvo VNL.[1]
- 19 August 2022: SCS Software confirms that they are working on the New Volvo VNL model after visiting the Volvo Trucks North America facility in the state of Virginia and that the project is still in the very early stages of development.[2]
