Leningrad Oblast (Russian: Ленинградская область) is a region of Russia located in the northwestern part of the country. It is partially featured in the Beyond the Baltic Sea DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2, with more of the region set to appear in the upcoming Heart of Russia DLC.
The Oblast is bordered by the Republic of Karelia to the north, Vologda Oblast to the east, Novgorod Oblast to the southeast, and Pskov Oblast to the south. Leningrad Oblast also borders Finland to the northwest and Estonia to the southwest.
Despite the Leningrad Oblast being named after it, Saint Petersburg (formerly Leningrad) is neither the capital nor a part of the Oblast. Instead, it is a federal city - a separate region of Russia surrounded by the Oblast.

Trivia
- Name of the Oblast comes from Leningrad, past name for Saint Petersburg which was used in period from 1924 to 1991. While the name of the city was changed following the fall of Soviet Union, the name of the Oblast remained unchanged.
