Venezia (English: Venice) is a city located in northeastern Italy and the capital of the Veneto region that is featured in Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Summary

Venezia was added later than the other three Italian cities in the base game, as it is the 1.11 update introducing Venezia, rather than the original release. While the update also brought two Austrian cities (Graz and Klagenfurt am Wörthersee) alongside Venezia, update 1.11 was named after Venezia, Road to Venice. They were also the first cities to be added outside of the release of the base game or a map expansion.

Features

Depots

Three companies have depots in Venezia, including EuroGoodies, LKW and SellPlan.

As a harbour in its own right, ships of Euro Lines can be seen in the docks outside the LKW depot. However, as the game does not feature ferry lines further south, the docks are inaccessible to truckers.

Facilities

Facilities available in Venezia include a bus station, a garage, a hotel, a recruitment agency and a service shop.

Another notable feature in Venezia is its railway facilities. A vast rail yard spans along the northern main road, with a long siding entering the city, terminating behind the local service shop and opposite to the docks and LKW depot.

Landmarks

The only available part of Venezia in the game is the harbour area. Because of that there are only very few landmarks in the game, including the Canale Industriale and a bridge crossing the canal.

Connections

Unlike most cities featured in ETS 2, Venezia has only one entrance off the A4. The highway goes towards Verona and Milano to the west, while to the east the A23 takes over and runs up to the Austrian border, where the A2 of that country continues towards Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, Graz and eventually Wien.

Toll gates exist on the A4 on both sides of Venezia, meaning that truckers accessing Venezia must somehow pay.
