California Border Protection Stations, commonly known as Agricultural Stations, are checkpoints that inspect vehicles entering California. They were introduced to American Truck Simulator in update 1.41 as part of the first phase of the California rework.
Summary
Similar to the border crossing in Euro Truck Simulator 2, drivers are obliged to stop at the checkpoint and have their vehicle inspected. If a driver does not stop for the inspection, they will have to pay a fine.
Locations
Currently, there are 11 checkpoints in American Truck Simulator. They are all located in northern and eastern California:
- south of Hilt
- northeast of Truckee
- north of Benton
- southwest of South Lake Tahoe
- between Weed and Klamath Falls, Oregon
- north of Crescent City
- between Crescent City and Medford, Oregon
- between Lee Vining and Carson City, Nevada
- north of Reno, Nevada
- between Alturas and Lakeview, Oregon
- between Canby and Klamath Falls, Oregon
Release History
- In update 1.41, as part of the first phase of the California rework, the first seven checkpoints were added on Interstate 5 south of Hilt, US 97 between Weed and Klamath Falls, US 101 north of Crescent City, US 199 between Crescent City and Medford, US 395 north of Reno, US 395 between Alturas and Lakeview, and SR 139 between Canby and Klamath Falls.
- In update 1.44, as part of the second phase of the California rework, one checkpoint was added on Interstate 80 northeast of Truckee.
- In update 1.50, as part of the third phase of the California rework, three checkpoints were added on US 6 north of Benton, US 50 southwest of South Lake Tahoe, and US 395 between Lee Vining and Carson City.
