runs through Łódź in a north-south direction. It heads to Katowice to the south.
The 
runs north of Łódź towards Gdańsk (becoming 
about halfway).

intersects the north of Łódź, running east-west. Truckers can travel along the road to reach Warszawa to the east, or Poznań to the west. However, the Autostrada is tolled. Truckers wishing to access Warszawa without paying tolls can use the south, turning onto the 
at the first interchange.
