A motel (short for "motor hotels") is a type of building featured in American Truck Simulator.
Summary
A motel is a variant of a hotel although it's normally cheaper and lacks amenities for travelers. The functional purpose of motels is to provide rest stops (which are located in the parking lots) that the player can use to rest. Most motels are in cities and most (although not all) cities have at least one motel or hotel situated in them.

History
- In update 1.53 of the fourth phase of the California rework cities like Santa Clarita were reworked and motels featured in these cities since been removed.
