For other European roads numbered A10, see A10 (disambiguation).

The A10 in Austria (known as Tauern Autobahn in real-life), is a highway running south from Salzburg.

It's first introduced to Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS 2) in version 1.11.1 update, alongside the city of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. It serves as part of the connection between Klagenfurt and Salzburg. However, only a short section of the A10 near Klagenfurt was featured, and truckers traversing between north and south of Austria had to drive on a long section of minor road.

In the 1.44 update, SCS revamped the Austrian part of the game map, and the A10 is featured in full length. Prior to the release of the update, SCS dropped various hints on the road's extension:

  • In its blog post about the Alps, the A10 is explicitly mentioned, with a hint that truckers will have an option to explore the area without having to take side roads.[1]
  • In its blogpost introducing the reskinned Salzburg, SCS mentioned the inclusion of the Knoten Salzburg junction. In real-life it's the northern terminus of A10, meaning that at least that end of A10 would be visible in the game.[2]
