The Autobahn A9 (also known as the Pyhrn Motorway) is a motorway spanning central Austria, originating at the junction of the A1 and A8 west of Linz, passing through the Lower Tauern mountains, and past the city of Graz before ending on the Slovene border. The route was first added to Euro Truck Simulator 2 during update 1.11 (alongside the cities of Graz and Klagenfurt am Wörthersee), and was reconstructed as part of the Austria rework in update 1.44, before being extended to its full length with the release of the West Balkans map expansion.
