Rovaniemi is a city in Finland that will be featured in the Nordic Horizons map expansion DLC in Euro Truck Simulator 2.

| “ | Tervetuloa to Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland! Best known as the official hometown of Santa Claus, this northern city attracts visitors from all around the world, with its unique blend of wilderness and modern comforts. As one of the larger cities in Finland, there is plenty to explore and discover as a visiting truck driver.
Drivers visiting this city will most likely arrive by the E75, which runs right through the city. As you approach the city from the North-East, you'll discover the crossing of two majestic rivers – The Ounasjoki River and Kemijoki River. Be sure to enjoy the view as you travel past them. In the city you'll find landmarks such as the Arktikum Science Centre and Musuem, and of course, Santa Claus Village, which serves as a year-round family-focused Christmas attraction. Truckers will of course be able to enjoy seeing both of these, and more, on their travels through the city! Did you know Rovaniemi experiences the Midnight Sun? Also known as the nightless night or polar day, the midnight sun is a natural phenomenon that occurs in locations north of the Arctic Circle. Simply put, the sun never sets between the months of June and July, as the earth is rotating at a tilted axis relative to the sun, and during summer, the North Pole is angled towards it! This has also been replicated in this DLC, so you'll experience it for yourself, virtually, no matter where in the (real) world you are. Drivers will also find plenty of opportunities for job contracts in the south of the city, where the industry area is located.
