Bangladesh (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ) is a country in Asia, featured in 18 Wheels of Steel: Extreme Trucker 2. The country in the game takes place in the central portion of the Chittagong Division, geographically between the mouth of the Meghna River and Kaptai Lake, in the southeastern portion of the country. The country borders India to the north, west and east, and Myanmar to the southeast.

The capital and largest city is Dhaka, which is not featured in the game.

Excluding the transcontinental countries of Russia and Turkey (both of which are in Europe and Asia together, featured in Euro Truck Simulator 2), Bangladesh is the only Asian country to be featured in out of all the truck simulation games created by SCS Software. It's unknown if this country will be ever featured in any future trucking games.

Geography

Bangladesh is located in southern Asia. The country is bordered by India, which surrounds the country almost entirely from the westernmost areas of the border, around the country to the north, to the easternmost areas of the country's border. Myanmar also shares a border with Bangladesh to the southeast.

Straddling the Tropic of Cancer, Bangladesh is mostly a tropical climate place, while a temperate climate is present mostly in the northwestern portion of the country.

The population density in Bangladesh is very dense, and its urbanization is proceeding rapidly overtime. The population density in the country is around 1,000 per square kilometers. While the cities of Dhaka, Comilla, and Chittagong are population centers of Bangladesh, people living in the country are also absorbed into agriculture, although many will likely find other kinds of work in rural areas.

Low-lying, and mostly a riverine country, Bangladesh has coastline of 580 kilometers (360 miles) on the northern littoral of the Bay of Bengal. The country is also vulnerable to rising sea levels.
