The Hardanger Bridge (Norwegian: Hardangerbrua) is a suspension bridge across the Eid Fjord in western Norway, featured in the Scandinavia map expansion DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Summary

The bridge carries the Rv7 and Rv13 roads across the Eid Fjord, a branch off of the main Hardangerfjorden in Vestland county, Norway. It shortens travel time between Oslo and Bergen, and it is the longest suspension bridge in Norway, as well as the longest tunnel to tunnel suspension bridge in the world. In ETS2, trucks traveling to and from Bergen by land must pass over this bridge. The bridge is tolled at a fee of €93 per passage, one of the highest in the game. The bridge is 1,380 meters (4,530 ft) long, with a main span of 1,310 meters (4,300 ft). The maximum deck height is 55 meters (180 ft) and the towers reach 200 meters (660 ft) above sea level. There are two driving lanes for cars with an 80 km/h (50 mph) speed limit, and a separate lane for pedestrians and cyclists. On the south end of the bridge, vehicles immediately enter the Bu Tunnel, while on the north side of the bridge, cars immediately enter the Vallavik Tunnel; both tunnels include a roundabout inside them. Construction on the bridge, in real life, began on February 26, 2009, and was opened to traffic on August 17, 2013.

Features

The bridge, along with the Vallavik Tunnel, features an electronic toll collector at the north end of the tunnel.
