The E-Tech T is the first fully electric truck in the Truck Simulator series. It was added after the full release of Update 1.50. It is currently only available for predefined Quick Jobs.[1]
The Renault Trucks E-Tech T features a regular Renault T cabin with a completely new interior and a 4x2 chassis. The drivetrain features three electric motors mounted alongside the gearbox in the middle of the chassis, collectively providing up to 490 kW of power. The vehicle is equipped with a new fully digital dashboard computer that includes two screens. Additionally, a blind spot detector is integrated into the A-pillars. The E-Tech T also uses regenerative braking, which allows it to partially recharge using the engine brake or the service brake as much as 80 % of the energy invested in acceleration. The introduction of the E-Tech T is a big milestone that marks the beginning of SCS Software's journey toward in-game electrification - a historic moment for the community.[2]
As an electric truck, it is advised to only make short trips with the E-Tech T due to its poor range. In addition, there are also no charging stations anywhere, which can hamper any and all progress in arriving to destination before it runs out of charge.
